Days after publicly complaining that coaches were trying to "make him Clint Capela," Ayton went out and put up a performance that would make Capela look like Hakeem Olajuwon by comparison. We're talking 2 points on 1-of-3 shooting and 4 rebounds in a loss to the Phoenix Suns.

And it gets better - or worse, depending on your perspective. He had zero points and one rebound in the entire first half. Coach J.J. Redick rightfully benched him down the stretch of what ended up being a very close loss.

But wait, there's more! Clint Capela himself decided to join the party with the most savage Instagram response you'll see all season. After Ayton's 2-point stinker, Capela posted: "U got 2 of the best floor general in the game my dawg Lockinnn 🤣🤣"

Chef's kiss! Absolutely perfect pettiness. You can't make this stuff up, folks!

Look, I get it - Ayton is frustrated. He was the first overall pick in his draft. He's got the physical tools. But when you publicly complain about how you're being used, and then you go out and lay an egg like that? The criticism writes itself.
