The oddsmakers have spoken, and they're not believers.
The Arizona Cardinals are currently projected as underdogs in all 17 games of the 2026 season. All. Seventeen. Games.
Folks, I've seen plenty of teams get disrespected by Vegas. But this? This is a historic vote of no confidence.
According to DraftKings odds, Arizona has eight matchups with double-digit spreads against them. Week 6 at the Rams? Down 13.5 points. Week 9 at the Seahawks? Same thing. The bookmakers are essentially saying the Cardinals have no chance.
Now, is this disrespect justified? Let's be honest—yeah, probably.
The Cardinals play in the brutal NFC West with the Seahawks and Rams, who just met in the NFC Championship Game. Plus the 49ers, who are always contenders. That's six guaranteed losses right there if you're being realistic. Then they face the entire NFC East and AFC West. It's a murderer's row of a schedule.
They also made major changes this offseason—and not necessarily the good kind. They lost quarterback Kyler Murray after seven seasons. They added first-round running back Jeremiyah Love from Notre Dame, third-round QB Carson Beck, and veterans like guard Isaac Seumalo and quarterback Gardner Minshew. On defense, they said goodbye to Calais Campbell and Jalen Thompson.
Those are the moves of a team in transition. Or, if we're being less kind, a team in rebuild mode.
